Don't throw away that box!

It’s so easy to get overwhelmed with the holidays. So many gifts to get and wrap…to ship. If you have kids, or nieces and nephews, there’s also the pressure of getting the perfect toy. Some folks go for the toys with blinking lights and loud sounds. Me, I tend to go for more basic toys---construction sets, art supplies, science kits---stuff that my kids and I can play with together.

But there is one toy that trumps them all. The big box! You know...the big box that all the stuff you ordered came in. This wonderful box can be a car, a rocket, a pirate ship. Imagination is the only limit.

Let your kids find the box. When they ask if they can have it, say yes!

Boxes rock! My Dad used to work for a company who made corrugated cardboard - I had lots of boxes.

I just saw these on the Cool Tool (kk.org) mailing list:

They are little rivets you can use to build all kinds of things out of cardboard!!

The box was one of the first inductees into the National Toy Hall Of Fame!
